   Dear Dorothy, Leiane and family,
   Joan’s passing is a great loss to us. We worked with Joan at Surrey Place Centre and she was a great help and friend to all of us. We miss her and her beautiful smile. She encouraged me in my work and her door was always open. Her faith in God was tenacious despite the cruelties of her disease. What an example she was to us. She leaves a hole in our hearts.

   Leiane, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have found memories of my first taste of Jerk Chicken in your home near Finch. Her unwavering support and pride for you was obvious.

   Dear Leiane, Dorothy and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joan. I have so many fond memories of times spent with her at Surrey Place Centre. She touched so many hearts. A truly special person and a blessing to know her.

   Dear Leiane, Dorothy and family,
   Joan was a very special friend to me for many years before and during the many years that we worked in Case management. Her energy, dedication and commitment to the families that she served and her wonderful sense of humour were a very special gift to everyone that she became involved with. I send my love and prayers to you all as you say Good bye to my friend.
